Which generation am I? Born in '93

@Gargron You're near the edge of Millennial and iGeneration. You don't remember a time without the web and probably had access to a computer and a cellphone from an early age, so I'd place you in iGeneration territory based on that. Millennials began life in the analog world and came of age in the digital world. I'm born in '83 and have concluded that I'm Millennial with some iGeneration habits due to being into computers at an early age.

@thor Dude I grew up without internet and computers. But my childhood was in the east & poverty, so what do I know

@Gargron @thor it's more of "if you were born in the first world in a typical middle class life"

poverty can affect things due to people not being able to afford fashionable luxuries; which fits

@Gargron Ah, yeah, that description wouldn't apply in that scenario, no. These generational markers probably don't make much sense for the East Bloc. I would imagine that demographers in those countries have their own generational markers.

@Gargron They'd make more sense today, but early 90s is very close to the fall of the Iron Curtain so there was a lot of catching up to do.

@Gargron @thor. the earliest cut-off point between millenials and genZ ive seen is 1995. 1993 is definitely a millenial ("do you remember 9/11" is another question you could ask in addition to "do you remember life without the internet")

@Gargron I also don't have a strong connection with the MTV era. My big sister was a clear Gen X'er, listened to her teen idols on LP, fondly remembers the 80s, etc. She was born in 1976.
