Boy would it be nice to have decent shelter without paying for rent or a mortgage. It's sort of crazy how much it costs to simply stay warm and dry. If I tried to improvise a dwelling, I'd be thrown out of it because somebody owns the land I built it on, and also, it's not built according to regulations and zoning laws. Also, in Norway, you must live in a place with an address. The closest you could get to not paying rent would be to roam around in a caravan...
@thor Tell me about it. A slightly better option than a camper is a tiny home on wheels, a trend that seems to slowly make it's way to Norway. I have seen local capenters offering complete custom built wagons for a decent price. Then you need to find somewhere to put it , like a farm or even buy a cheap property somewhere in the outskirts of a city.
