3 people made accounts on my instance after I announced that I was quitting Instagram and plugged my Mastodon account there. They haven't posted anything yet, or followed anyone but me (which is how I discovered them), but it's interesting never the less. Nobody made any accounts after I attempted to do the same on Facebook. Maybe the Instagram crowd, at least the sort that followed me on there, is more into indie stuff.
