I'm thinking of getting a backup phone and laptop, because I need to send both in for repairs. The laptop needs to have Linux-friendly hardware, and the phone I'm not sure about. Every Android phone I have tried, even expensive ones, feel kind of glitchy and clunky compared to an iPhone.
Also, I'd prefer if neither of them are horribly expensive. Every "best Linux laptop" list I've seen has models that would run me at least $1000 incl. VAT here in Norway.
@thor
I've heard iOS users tend to like Google's Pixel phones best when it a comes to a comparable experience on Android. I have a Pixel 2 and I like it a lot
@thor Thinkpads make for great linux laptops, and can be bought quite cheap on finn.no. I have had a X220 for two years and it's still enough for my needs. Everythink just works™ with Linux.
I can really recommend the OnePlus3/5/6 phones, as they are powerfull, elegant and most importantly recieve updates long after their release. Even the OnePlus 3, which is a few years old by now, will get the next major version of Android (it's allready available in beta I think).
@thor I never tried but there is this option: https://www.tuxedocomputers.com/en
@thor Lenovo Thinkpad L460 cost me around 3000ish Norwegian Kroner and i an runnig it with Linux Antergos with deepin without any problems.
