I just got my hands on a new MacBook Pro. I suddenly don't care about what it lacked on paper. It's an immaculate piece of high tech that flawlessly performs its task. The touchpad is huge. The pinch-to-zoom gesture in Safari is smooth like on a smartphone. The built-in speakers sound excellent. The machine is light and thin like premium dark chocolate. The screen is exquisitely high definition, with beautiful colors. It's the Mercedes of computers. It's very, very hard to hate.
@skypage eBay sells silicone anti-dust keyboard covers for numerous laptop brands/models. It's not so much an Apple problem as an ultra-thin keyboard problem. A more interesting question is: How do you detect an issue like this ahead of time?
@B4x4 Perfect.
@B4x4 macOS is the best desktop OS for creative geeks hands down. Who the hell can say no to a certified UNIX that runs the entire Adobe suite and runs all the popular libre software? On top of that, Apple releases official WIndows drivers, and the hardware is 100% Windows compatible, if that's your thing.
@B4x4 When I hear PC/Android users criticize Apple, I always want to point out to them that I used a PC for decades before switching to Mac, and that I've owned multiple Android phones before I switched to iPhone. I know what I'm getting there, and I'm sorry, but what I'm getting from Apple is just better for my use case.
