I've been working on and off on my Philips Hue light controller electronics project for several months now. Finding equations that map the raw RGB values of the colour sensor onto matching CIE xy values for the Philips Hue lights has been a challenge.
Things that didn't work:
- Colour balancing the RGB data
- Making a CIE colour profile from the spectral plot in the sensor's data sheet
- Adjusting CIE xy primaries by hand
Best solution so far: Perceptron neural network.
