I am considering replacing the tagline "Your self-hosted, globally interconnected microblogging community" with something closer to action/the reader.
"Follow your friends and publish updates"? Something like that. The other phrase has too much technical jargon (jean gargron).
"Connect with your friends and broadcast messages on an ethically designed, decentralized platform"
Hows this
@Gargron "broadcast messages" comes across a bit strong. "decentralised platform" will mean very little to many readers. What's important to the user experience?
