@quimgil I'm not as concerned about chat apps as I am about social media, but then again, after social media entered the stage, chat has made up an extremely narrow sliver of my online activity. No one I care about seems to like chat systems.

@quimgil @thor I kill my birdsite account today. Instagram a couple of months back. Heck! I even delete my reddit account. I still use whatsapp with a couple of family members that dont want use another stuff (riot). other than that its have been so good.

Decentralisation is a step in the right direction, but in terms of privacy, decentralisation doesn't really fix that, you wouldn't put personal information into a mastodon instance would you?
