TL;DR #Bitcoin allows you to store a small amount of data in a transaction, which is then appended to the blockchain. So, somebody put CP there, and now every bitcoin user has CP on their computers.
@newt I always thought the first abuse of the Bitcoin blockchain would be random spamming with garbage data. Never had the devious imagination to expect CP.
@thor me neither, but then again, I'm not a butter. On the other hand, blockchain is a distributed database that accepts data from literally anyone without any means to remove it later. What could go wrong here?
