Going by a search of the .no, .se and .dk TLDs found at instances.mastodon.xyz/list, we (snabeltann.no) are actually the largest instance in . At just over 100 users, this is not a major accomplishment, but I'm both pleasantly surprised that we are the the largest one, and somewhat dismayed that Mastodon isn't yet a big deal in our corner of the world.

Jeg regner med, at starte noget selv under et andet navn hvis der ikke er sket noget 1. maj. (Jeg har deværre ikke tid denne weekend, ellers ville jeg allerede være igang.

Så der i det mindste kan være ét dansk mastodon instance.

Eller hvis jeg finder ud af hvem det er kan jeg måske hjælpe, men desværre giver whois mig ikke noget jeg kan bruge der.

@thor Well - true for the software instance. If you broaden the view and look for GNU social compatible instances, there are a lot of instances with rather large (thousands) user base in scandinavia. quitter.no , quitter.se, gnusocial.no etc.

@outcast I don't have stats for those. It seems Mastodon has grown much bigger much more quickly and is now the bee's knees. Well, abroad anyway.
