In , we seem to be the biggest instance, but (a country) has us beat with 170+ versus 100+ people. However, we still beat them on activity, with 2300+ versus 400+ toots.

@thor Yeah, sorry. Figured that out after asking. I was surprised by all the new instances. Didn't know there was a Finnish one.

@jaranta @thor Da er det bare å melde seg inn der (Finske) og begynne å lese. Eller ikke??? 🤣🤣🤣

@jaranta This doesn't include GNU Social. Should've mentioned that.

@thor Yeah, I know. But no surprise it's forgotten -- it's being trampled by the big woolly elephant.
@strypey @wogan FWIW, postActiv instances 1.0.3 and on are now prefixed with postactiv-{version} in the version API if you find that a meaningful distinction (see for eg: https://plateia.org/api/statusnet/version.xml )

@maiyannah Oh that's gonna be useful, thanks! Is that XML file available at the same URL for every instance? @strypey

@wogan @strypey All the way back through StatusNet and GNU social ... postActiv is prefixed with "postactiv-" to distinguish us, though.
@wogan I'm working on an API endpoint that will tell you how many nodes a postActiv instance is connected too also.
that's a cool hack @maiyannah! Will help a*lot* with mapping the #Fediverse if all apps do something similar @wogan

@thor but for those of us who don't use our own instance then?

No disrespect at all - go you guys and the finnish one! I am all thumbs up and lusekofta over here/memma and sweaty sauna thumbs up - just I didn't even know these existed.

@ohyran I don't quite understand what you're trying to say?

@thor errrr
1) Thumbs up for your success, all love etc.
2) I wasn't aware there where no/fi/dk/se/etc instances
3) The # of no/dk/fi/se/etc people are more than the instances though?
4) I am tired and groggy... just woke up

@ohyran Yeah, not sure why you bring up #3. I set up an instance and I'm comparing numbers. The total number of people from each country is a different figure, and I'm not terribly curious about it.

@thor yeah that was me "pre-coffee" I was essentially going "wut there MUST be more Norwegians here than on just that instance?" ... sry :)
